Sucrose monocaprate is a surfactant that can be used as an excipient in drug delivery systems. It has been shown to have enhance solubility, bioavailability, and stability of APIs and to have high biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity, making it ideal for use as a dispersing agent in vaccine formulations and in the preparation of nanoemulsions for drug delivery.
