Description
BODIPY-Cholesterol is cholesterol tagged with the fluorophore BODIPY. Sterols, like cholesterol, are used in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation to provide structural support to the membrane. Tagging with BODIPY can be useful in monitoring the cellular uptake of LNPs. BODIPY-Cholesterol has an excitation/emission of 480 nm/508 nm.
