Hydroethidine™ is a reduced form of ethidium bromide and a cellular stain. It is able to enter living cells and stain the cytoplasm blue and the chromatin red. It is known to have minimal toxicity and excellent cellular retention with the ability to remain incorporated in chromatin with virtually no leakage.
