DLinDMA is an ionizable cationic lipid that is used in the formulation of LNPs for drug delivery. Ionizable lipids are neutral at physiological pH but protonated at low pH making them positively charged. In LNPs, these lipids play an important role in nucleic acid encapsulation, endosomal uptake, and release of cargo into the cytosol. LNPs containing DLinDMA have many applications including gene therapy, anticancer, and anti-viral immunotherapy.
