Description

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a water-soluble, biologically inert polymer that has a number of biological and pharmaceutical applications. Specifically, PEG600 can be used as an excipient in pharmaceutical products or as a coating on nanoparticles to prevent opsonization in vivo. It can also be used for purification of plasmid DNA. The polymer chains are hydroxyl terminated at both ends.
